Managing a Mac remotely

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of VNC server for Macintosh

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi, Dave! I've never tried to remote control so may be talking through my hat but I think Apple has stuff for this. I believe the most popular product for this on the Mac used to be Timbuktu (non-Apple) but don't know if folks still use it these days.. it may be worth a looksee, though. Sorry.. that's all I got for you. --ST

Hi:

We use Timbuktu quite frequently to remotely control Macs and PCs. With a broadband connection it works well. It requires an open port, which has compromised our security behind our firewall, though. We also have MacOSX Server that allows remote administration that works well too.
