Has anyone purchased those "applications" such as Tasks or Recruiter or Meetings? I am very curious.

No , But I Assume it won't be to long before some developers are out of business.

I've looked at them, they dont do anything special.

I think they are just a clever method to try and get users to upgrade to FM6. Since all the 'Filemaker Applications' require it, and they come bundled with a FM 6 upgrade.

I'm looking into the Tasks program but might just eat up building my own.

Check in the start up of these files, look for any statement that says FileMaker Pro 6 is required . Either delete the statements a or turn the the Start up script in Prefs.

They did the same thing with the FileMaker Solution Framework templates. Guess what after turning off the start up scripts they work in FM 5
