Label formats not in FM

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a label size that is used by my company that is not available in FM. I tried to enter the width and height of the labels, but the sheet the labels print from has a small header and the labels do not line up. If I adjust the height for the first row, all the proceeding rows are not aligned. Is there a way to add the Avery label number to the list or accomadate for the sheet header?

Thanks.

The way you have to handle labels not already on this list is to click "use custom measurements". If the header is too large, make it smaller. Adjusting the first row will only fix the first label. If the label to label spacing is correct, adjust the position of the first label using the header size.

In the custom label dialog, you can also reduce the margin sizes to zero (if you can't get close enough to the top of the page by reducing the header size).

I don't know of any way to add a label to the list.

Thanks. I'll try your suggestions.

With Avery, I have found that they use multiple numbers for the same label depending on its usage. For example, they give a different number if the label is for inkjet vs laser. Check the Avery website and see if that is the case, then check the list in FileMaker to see if one of those labels is listed.

Thanks. I'll try that.
