Hi there,

Does anybody know a way of triggering a script other than explicitly clicking a button or selecting the menu?

Specifically, I want to be able to trigger a script after a user has created a record, entered data and then moves from the record (either by going to a previous record or to a different layout)

Any ideas are much appereciated.

To trigger a script you have to click on a button or issue the command via the Scriptmaker menu.

If, however, as you describe the steps to be taken, you force the user to use buttons to move between records and/or layouts, then you can attach the script to these buttons.

actually, i believe there are some plug-ins for this sort of thing. Search filemaker.com and other filemaker sites for various plug-ins
