I'm looking for input from anyone who has used the free donor db called eBase. Techrocks is the company that came up with the solution, I think.

My organization is looking to build a better donor/development database, and it would be great to use a ready made solution rather than re-invent the wheel.

Any opinions/testimonials would be much appreciated.

I haven't looked at eBase in awhile (www.ebase.org). It's free, but they now have some sort of pricing structure for training/support.

It's a fairly comprehensive package, and one nice thing is that it includes several plugins, so that's a cost-saving right there over what you'd pay on your own.

The down side is that it may be overkill for many organizations, with so many options that it can be confusing, and also only a proficient developer will be able to make sense of the structure should you want to modify it. So be sure to budget for some help.

Thanks. I've looked at it and it does seem confusing from the development side of things. We would need to do a lot of customization.

May be better to start from scratch to suit our needs.
