Error msg in db, how to get rid of, pls?

Featured Replies

On the one hand, need to keep data consistent so have the usual NOT

EMPTY selected in the options for this field.

(To remember later, via FILE > DEFINE FIELDS > select field > OPTIONS

> VALIDATION > under 2nd item, "Not empty" and that in next option the

field's value brought up via a VALUE LIST and correct value list

noted.)

Beside the NOT EMPTY box in the field options, there are two items,

"Unique" and "Existing", btw. Currently neither of these is selected,

I just saw.

I also have tab order selected in correct sequence.

However, when tabbing from the previous field to this one that needs

consistent data, I get this error box come up each time:

"FileMaker Pro

This field is definited to contain only specific

values. Allow this value?

Revert Field Yes NO"

How do I get rid of this error box, pls? Does it have something to do

with needing perhaps "Unique" or "Existing"??

Pls advise and thanks! Hope it's clear enough, but ask me anything to

make it clearer if it is not. laugh.gif

Sorry 'bout this, but I've answered my own question <vbg>. Found that it was actually the field before that had problem. It was not pointing to correct value list hence the error box.

Cheers! grin.gif
