time into the appropriate fields instead of the client

station date and time?

All networked machines should have time in sync.

you can't obtain server date/time.

probably you can force client machines to update date/time with a network time server as your solution starts performing an applescript.

I've said probably because I don't know if this is possible with applescript. But you may try...
