Newbies Jon Otaegi Posted November 6, 2003 Newbies Posted November 6, 2003 Hello, We are trying to import data from a MySQL server into a Filemaker database in a Macintosh environment (Mac O X 10.2.8). Is it possible? We have the MySQL database and MyODBC configured correctly (the odbctest application runs without problems). We have configured it using the Mac's default ODBC Administrator. The problem is that we can't access the MyODBC driver from the DataDirect's ODBC Configure tool developed with the FileMaker. FileMaker gives only the possibility to choose the DSNs configured with this last tool. Is there any solution? TIA, Jon
Anatoli Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 If this will not work and export/import via text files is not option you can go the PHP or Lasso way. Because in my next project I have to do the same, I've tested communication between those two databases with Lasso scripts and it works fast and well.
cjaeger Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 Filemaker can make use of myODBC, if the datadirect tool is NOT installed.
