Field entry related plugin

Hi there, now i'm looking for field entry plugin. Which can control user to key in the correct length of characters and type of numeric value. For example if a text field i need to set is as max 10 characters, when user key in until 10 characters, then they will not allow to key in anymore even they still continue entry. For numeric field, user only allow key in the number 0 to 9 and decimal. If they key in other characters, it will take no action.

In FM, i know that there have validate option or can check using script, but user still can key anything until they go to next field then the error message display. And another thing is for global field, i can't use this validation feature.

The key point i want is to allow user key in the right information at data entry point. I don't want to let user know after they go to other field or click the Done/Ok button.
