FMServer on win2000: multiple users accessing

Newbies

FM Server 5.5 installed on windows 2000 server as USER_X

on windows 2000 client machines only USER_X can edit tables

on windows 2000 client machines USER_Y can see remote tables on server but cannot edit.

Any suggestions how to solve this? Thanks !

Are you using the HOST button to access the FM databases/tables?

AFFIRMATIVE, I go to the remote database by "Opening an existing file". Then I hit the button "Hosts" on the bottom right. Then I see the File Maker server and the file that I configured to be "FileMaker Network Sharing Multi-User".

Up till here everything is the same for USER_X and USER_Y.

But from here the USER_X can continue using the database while the USER_Y can't go further.

What passwords and groups are you using? How those users differ? When you say "edit tables", what should I understand? Changing values or changing structure or?
