I have a repetitive action where a applescript would be very helpful. I create pdf files for my clients out of FileMaker and save the postscript file name which is then converted by Distiller into a pdf. I would like the applescript to do the following: When I press the print button the script should automatically 1. press the Save button, 2. Paste the stored name into the Save as box, 2. press the Save button.

To do it this way, I think you will also need ot use Quickeys or something equivalent to enter the infomation into the print dialog. I would recommend that you set up your print script to print to a default file name without any dialog, and then immediately execute an applescript that changes the file name to the one you want. If you look through this forum you will find some example scripts that will change file names.
