Featured Replies

Hello

I can't get a print from a file because it says errror -9705. Does anyone know what that means.

Thanks

Hi 'hartmut77',

Quick answer... go to the FileMaker site, click Support, and KnowledgeBase, enter the error number.

Good Luck! Let us know what you found.

C'mon Hartmut77, my mind reading aint what it used to be... at least give us the FM version *and patch level*, and operating system type and version.

Hi

I have had the same problem with -9705 with FileMaker 6.0.4. The problem is definately connected to problems with fonts. When I removed the two fonts: Printer Extra Screen Fonts and

Printer Resident Screen Fonts from /Library/Fonts the problem disappered. The was about 160 different fonts installed in the fonts folder.

I haven't tested if the removal of these to fonts cause any other problems though.

Be aware that there are 3 different folder that Mac OS X looks for fonts:

/Library/Fonts

~/Library/Fonts (the logged in users Fonts folder)

/System (MacOS 9)/Fonts (I'm not completely sure if this is the presice location, but its the fonts folder in the MacOS 9 system folder)

Best regards Torsten
