Newbies James Coyle Posted March 30, 2001 Newbies Posted March 30, 2001 I created a database for student records by modifying a Filemaker pro template for student records. I have added fields and scripts, then deleted many. Now when I open the database, I get this message:"Script cannot be found or has been deleted." The data base works, how can I get rid of this message(I created the database in FM 4. The problem appeared when I converted it to FM 5.
elvis_impersonating_penguin Posted March 30, 2001 Posted March 30, 2001 is it possible that you deleted a script that is being run automatically. go to the document preference and check that.. it would be the first thing i would check. you may also want to check to make sure none of you exsisting script have references to deleted scripts in them.. i've never had this error before, and i am far from an expert, but there are the first two things i would check.
LiveOak Posted March 30, 2001 Posted March 30, 2001 I'm fairly certain you have deleted the script (or a subscript it calls) that was set to run upon file open as a Startup script in Document preferences. -bd
Newbies James Coyle Posted April 2, 2001 Author Newbies Posted April 2, 2001 Thanks. I went to preferences and found that it was set to use a script upon start up. None was selected because I deleted it. You saved me from either starting from scratch or living with that maddening message.
