I am in the process of developing an order management application. There will be multiple people using the Order Detail file at the same time. I need to track the User ID of the person creating/modifying records (in this case, different users can use the same machine at different times). Any suggestions as to how I pass the User IDs and then track the data? Thanks!

If the machine has separate profile for each user, then FM UserName will be also different and can be checked with Status functions.

Used together they can require each user to reset his/her identifying information and automatically reset the User Name in the FIleMaker Pro Preferences. That's where the auto-enter features and the Status(CurrentUserName) function drawns its information.
