is there anyway to create an "auto-complete" feature just like IE?

ie. Value List contains the following:

1 - Cheese

2 - Crackers

3 - Water

If you start typing "C" you will see the Value list will only contain

1 - Cheese

2 - Crackers

Then if you typed "Ch" you will see

1 - Cheese

any ideas?

Do a search for clairvoyant and Typeahead (Type A Head) in FM Forums, I think you will find an abundant of discussion on this technique, along with a few references to some demo files.

Your posts also could be describing Conditional Value Lists, so you might do a search for that too.

BTW, I'm sure you have already explored the Popup List and Popup Menu, available when using a Value List.

yes i have, thank you Lee... i am currently using a Popup list but i am trying to get around the headache of having a HUGE popup list... thought this would help. gonna look at your examples right now, cheers!
