I find it impossible to make that script work, even when I think I got it right. Basically our company stores information on all products sold with pictures (the info alone is sometimes imported but not the pics). I need a script that will automatically link any new record to it's corresponding picture using one of the fields & display it in its place. Picture filename is identical to item number field. Please help !

Get the Troi File Plugin. It has a command that lets you set a reference for a container field to a dynamically specified filename (you can also use it to make thumbnails).

or

If you're on a Mac and you're up on your AppleScript, use it to open the picture, copy it to the clipboard, then paste it into the field in FileMaker. This just occured to me as I was writing the first paragraph above so I haven't tried it, but I think it'll work.
