Forcing a user out of a record

Featured Replies

I have a solution with 20 files, using FM 5.5

It is served by FM Server and we have a max of about 15 users at any time.

We have freq. locked records issues. Is there a way to force a user out of a field (exiting them from the record) or force them out of the record, but only if they are idle for a period of time?

It seems like this would be a built in feature, like disconnecting them when idle from FM Server.

For those of you looking for this ability - to force users out of records. I can't say enough about Timeout. We have fully implemented it into our solution and it has really helped eliminate locked files in our multi-user environment.

Now, when people get on the phone or walk away from the computer, they are kicked out of the record and they don't even realize it.

Great, simple plugin!
