Can I insert a Windows wmv movies in a multimedia field in Filemaker Pro 6 ? I use Windows movie maker and I can't insert the mivie in my Filemaker database.

I don't believe you can put wmv files into a container field, just QuickTime movies (as far as video is concerned). Can Windows movie maker export to QuickTime (mov)?

It is possible that there is a plugin out there somewhere that might get FM to accept wmv files, though I haven't looked...

I just inserted a .wmv file into a container field. Double clicked it and it played in windows media player.

I dragged and dropped it, but I'm sure you can go insert/object and select video clip. One thing to note, though. I inserted a 29MB movie, and it jacked up my FM speed for some reason. I would suggest storing the path to the file only.
