Posted this a few weeks ago but didn't get any response. Trying again in the hope that someone can throw some light on it

I only work in Windows, but for me the solution was very simple.

Send message script step. In "specify message" dialogue select "File" and specify dialer.exe which is window's built in dialer.

I then have a 3 second pause followed by the Dial Phone script step.
