March 4, 200421 yr Can someone tell me how to copy a filemaker report to a Microsoft word file so that I can do some editing? For example, I need to mark some record red for the report but I can't do that directly on the report on filemaker pro. Can I ? The other reason is that I need to send the report to those who don't have filemaker pro on their computer but only microsoft office. Thanks. Jie
March 7, 200421 yr Presuming you can identify the red record, you can colour it with a bit of mucking about. Set up a Calculation Container field, 'LookAtMe' and size it to fit the record layout. Set up a global container field, g_RED and fill it with red. Let's assume you have a field called 'Ooops' in your record which is '1' if you want to highlight it. Define LookAtMe = case(Ooops, g_RED, "") On the layout, make sure LookAtMe is 'Sent to Back'. It will outline your record in red. Next get a copy of pdfFactory. This lets you print FMP reports to PDF files, which can be read by (almost) anyone. (Sorry, I cannot remember the URL.)
March 21, 200421 yr You might want to look into EZXSLT, it can do exactly what you're asking for: http://www.chapsoft.com/ezxslt/
