Removing extra border in Kiosk mode

Featured Replies

Is there a way to remove the annoying extra white border FM Developer inserts to the right and bottom of the screen when binding a solution in Kiosk mode? I'm assuming it has something to do with scroll bars but I've "snugged" up the window so there is no scrolling necessary prior to binding. [email protected]

Version: v5.x

Nope, no way to remove the border.

I think it has to do with the size of your window before you send the file through the Developer tool...I make sure my database is maximized before I make any runtimes...that seemed to help

Here's a possible solution... but you'll have to wait a week or two.

This company: www.defvm.com makes an XML "skin" system for Filemaker solutions - i've been using it on 5.5. Firstly I must warn you the documentation for their solution leaves a little to be desired - well A LOT to be desired that is.

However, once you've got it figured out it's the best thing since sliced bread (sorry for all the cliches) You can make your FM solution completely unidentifiable as a filemaker solution. You can also do all kinds of creative things with windowing which you can't do in either filemaker 6, 7 or developers thereof.

The downside? Their solution currently doesn't work with 7 but they are releasing version 1.2 which does very shortly.
