File Path Names

I'm finally looking to upgrade FMP based on the new goodies in FMP7 (multitables, large size limit, and the ability to store files across FMP) --

Here's my question -- is there a way for FMP to automagically pull/copy File Path data and paste it into a text field upon having a file/reference imported into a container field? That is, is there a way to script that? I don't know where i can ask FMP to "look" for the path data for the file/reference in the container. Is there a way i can pull out that text data from the binary file/container? Does this question make sense?

Version: v7.x

Platform: Mac OS X Panther

Actually, yes. If I understand you correclty. And that new functionality is 'way cool' as they say.

If you enter a valid pat to a picture in a container, you'll actually see the picture.

And there is a function to get the path to whatever is in the container.

Check it out.
