dharkin Posted March 14, 2004 Posted March 14, 2004 Hello forum, I would like to create a field where as a user could select hours and minutes from a value list. I think creating a custom value list of numbers just wouldn't do it. example I have a field called events and I would like to allow the user to enter a time for the event from the value list. Hope I am clear? Also I would like to have a layout where the user could use a calendar and click the day of the event upon clicking the event information would appear of which he or she selected Thanks for you help in advance dharkin Version: v6.x Platform: Mac OS X Panther
RalphL Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 Would a field for hours and a field for minutes be acceptable? You could have up and down buttons which would increment or decrement the value in the field. Another button would run a script that coverts this to time.
dharkin Posted March 16, 2004 Author Posted March 16, 2004 would both fields be combined when creating a report or sorting in order to get the whole time (hours and minutes)? thanks for the response Version: v6.x Platform: Mac OS X Panther
RalphL Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Use the time function to convert these number to time. Use 0 for the seconds part of the time.
