stann Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Hello I am not really sure how to ask this question. I have 200 fields named A1-A200 I have another field called "Entry" I have a script that puts the name of the field in the field "entry" Is there any way to paste data from another field called "cost" into whatever field is named in Entry? For example "entry" becomes the value "a71" and cost is $1200 Is the a way to script or automate the placement of $1200 into the field "a71" or whatever results in becoming the field name in Entry? Thanks Very Much Stan Version: v6.x Platform: Mac OS X Panther

stann Posted March 17, 2004 Author Posted March 17, 2004 Somehow I cannot download your attachment correctly. I am on a mac. When I download it and open it . it is 2 columns of really weird text. I am not sure what to do. Stan
-Queue- Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 It's a zip file. You'll need a copy of StuffIt to decompress it.
-Queue- Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 I should add that you'll need to ensure all of the 'A' fields are included in the Tab order for the layout. The order doesn't have to be specific, as long as they are all included. Additionally, adding a Go to Field [A1] step before the loop will speed it up if there are many fields preceding it in the Tab order.
