Jarvis Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 I have some questions that relate to screen ergonomics. 1) Is there a way to increase the font size at the DEFINE DATABASE dialog box. I have a 20 inch Apple flat screen monitor and the resolution is pretty good but I still struggle when changing calculation formulas, etc. Is there a way to make this a little easier to see? 2) Is there a way to increase the space available for layout names at the left menu bar? I have a series of layouts named: SECTION 1; SECTION 2 etc. The layout menu only displays the 7 characters in the word "Section". 3: I look forward to being able to use the NEW WINDOW feature. Is there a way to reproduce these views? Can we create some kind of a "workspace" that allows us to come back the same settings again? I would like to be able to click on a button that slices and dices and arranges the data the same way each time. Thanks for your patience with these questions. Jarvis Version: v7.x Platform: Mac OS X Panther
Vaughan Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 "Can we create some kind of a "workspace" that allows us to come back the same settings again?" Script the creation of the new window. I'm in the process of learning how to wrangle windows in FMP, and I tell you it ain't easy. It's the interaction of multiple windows with multiple tables that is causing my grief. Too many variables! But I love it, it's great. Just need to get over that learning curve.
