Import from CSV - date format issue

Featured Replies

Hello People!

I could sware I saw some posts about date issues and now are nowhere to be found on the forums....but perhaps I dream about it.

In any case, I get an odd FM result when importing data from CSV file.

In CSV file mu "date field" is in format of mm/dd/yyyy

and "date field" in FM accepts it fine but the "2yk -like" issue appears where

FM field is defined as DATE

1/22/2001 is imported as 1/22/1901

if I define the field (in FM) as TEXT or NUMBER it imports year in 2 digit

1/22/2001 is imported as 1/22/01

FM is updated and auto-entry into date fields is in correct format...it is only the import that troubles me. frown.gif

Any advice is apprechiated!

many thanx!

Are you sure? What program are you viewing the CSV data in? Excel has a tendency to modify data without asking or notifying, best use a simple text editor like Note Pad.
