unique calculation?

Once you have created a calculation field can you set the field to also be unique?

FileMaker Version: 7

No. Calculations fields cannot have field-level validation.

However there are instructions posted to the FM TechInfo Library to validate calculated fields for uniqueness. It involves a self-join and an lookup.
