I would like to display information about a button when the mouse pointer is over the button. For example, say I had a button that was shaped like a right arrow. I would like it if when the pointer was placed over the right arrow, a small text box would appear and read "next record." This is similar to the feature of some applications called "help bubbles." Is this possible with fm and does anyone know how to implement it?

First, NEVER post in more than 1 forum...everybody will find it. This is one of the features that FMI left out, but you can do it with a plugin. See web page. They have a plugin called SimpleHelp.

thanks for the quick reply. Do you by chance know of any other plug-ins that have this feature? SimpleHelp is not compatable with fm version 7.
