Newbies Ralph Allan Posted April 7, 2004 Newbies Posted April 7, 2004 On a network running Windows 2003 server, one user is accessing via Terminal Services. All works fine, except that for one issue. An "Opener script" has been created that connects to a hosted database that uses FileMaker Server 5.5. This works on all the LAN stations, but does not work on the station connecting by terminal services. Any ideas anyone? FileMaker Version: 6 Platform: Windows XP
DykstrL Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 My guess is that the Terminal Server is not looking at the FM server as a local host. You probably need to change the opener file and use the IP address of the server - which should be a static IP address. Unless the FM server is a local host, just using the server name will not work unless you have a DNS server resolving the name. "hard-wire" the IP address in the opener file - that should do it.
