I have a portal that hold a subject line and a date line...they are lined by the company name. Really a call log that I made. All I want to do is have the most recent date (newest entry) show up on a differnt form and maybe a report. Is there a simple way to do this.

FileMaker Version: 6

Platform: Windows 2000

If you sort the relationship by the date field in descending order (or create a duplicate relationship with this sort order), then place a related record on your layout (without a portal) then the data from the related record with the most recent date will appear in it.

Use the Max or Last function.
