May 6, 200421 yr Newbies I have two offices that are located 300 km from each other, the Internet or dedicated connection is low speed (max 128k) they need to work on the same data. My idea is to install two servers one on each location and replicate the databases My question is how the two servers will sync the data, and if this is possible?
May 8, 200421 yr This sounds rather difficult (syncing data). FM Server 7 is supposed to have much better WAN performance, and is scheduled to release this summer. I think you might want to check into it before heading down the syncing path - that sounds like a lot of aggravation to me.
May 9, 200421 yr There is a solution for this: http://www.syncdek.com/ It is also true that FM7 WAN performance is a whole lot better than with 6. You can sign up for the public beta of FM server and test it out for yourself. HTH Wim
