weird behaviour of globals with fm server...

Featured Replies

I've noticed some weird behaviour with global fields since using filemaker server.

I set a global on a client machine, then when everyone has quit filemaker, with the server still running, the global returns to the value it was before.

Is there a way to reset the value of this global to something different without taking the server off-line?

Thanks

You must be the only user of a file in single-user mode in order for the globals to be reset. The easiest way to do this is to set the globals to the way you want them to default, then open the Define Fields dialog box. The globals will now be set to those values.

Ah right ok.

I thought it was something like that but I just needed to work out how to reset them.

Thanks loads
