Script Editor

I am new to FM. I wonder if there is also the possibility in writing scripts. Does FM Pro 5 include such an ScriptEditor beside the ScriptMaker where one only can create scripts by clicking with the mouse.

Else is there a possibility with the ScriptMaker to comment the scripts? So that I will also know in future what I have done?

Thanks

I have never used a Mac, Ananda, so I'm unsure. But I think all versions of FMPro allow Comment fields to be added within ScriptMaker. Is it called ScriptMaker on Macs? Anyway, it's at the bottom (in Miscellaneous in the left panel) where it lists your script-step selections. smirk.gif

Ananda:

As MoonShadow said, Comment appears under Miscellaneous in ScriptMaker. As you're on a Mac, you also have access to AppleScript.

You can pretty much type in the whole thing if you _want_ but the idea is that using the mouse is a bit easier and faster. It's become a lot more like regular programming with v7 because you can specify a lot of things that had to be set in context (with a mouse) in earlier versions. (Find order, sort order, etc...) I kinda liked using the mouse and context myself, but I don't miss having to print scripts to see what was specified... :-)
