berre Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 Hello, In an application that uses 12 FM5pro databases, I'm trying to give someone read-only access, but I get a "no access" message in my layout-screen instead of the records I wanted to show. All the files are multi-user, and I created for all of them a new password as following : browse records = checked edit records = unchecked delete records = unchecked create records = unchecked print records = checked export records = checked override data entry warnings = checked design layouts = unchecked edit scripts = unchecked define value lists = unchecked change password = unchecked available menu commands: none This looks fine to me, but it doesn't work. Is there something I missed? bart
berre Posted May 12, 2004 Author Posted May 12, 2004 In fact there is only one file that gives a "no access" error. All the other files don't give any problem. The password settings for this file are exactly the same as the setting of the other files...
berre Posted May 13, 2004 Author Posted May 13, 2004 I found it myself : I just had to add the new password I created to the "users" group. You can change my status to newbie again ;-)
