Hello,

In an application that uses 12 FM5pro databases, I'm trying to give someone read-only access, but I get a "no access" message in my layout-screen instead of the records I wanted to show.

All the files are multi-user, and I created for all of them a new password as following :

browse records = checked

edit records = unchecked

delete records = unchecked

create records = unchecked

print records = checked

export records = checked

override data entry warnings = checked

design layouts = unchecked

edit scripts = unchecked

define value lists = unchecked

change password = unchecked

available menu commands: none

This looks fine to me, but it doesn't work.

Is there something I missed?

In fact there is only one file that gives a "no access" error. All the other files don't give any problem.

The password settings for this file are exactly the same as the setting of the other files...

I found it myself : I just had to add the new password I created to the "users" group.

You can change my status to newbie again ;-)
