I am very new to file maker pro 6. How do you set up different sorts for different layouts. Say one layout you want to be sorted by date and a different layout you want sorted by client name? Right now I can only do one sort for all layouts...... any thoughts?

You create a script that goes to a layout and sorts the records as desired.

Before creating each script, sort the records appropriately, then use Sort [Restore, No dialog] in the script.

You can attach these scripts to buttons that navigate your file or call them from other scripts.
