Hi there, i just wondering, i already see on other Database System, you have the possibility to use short key, one i will always remember is the key F9 for doing a search, i think it's realy quick done a search with the keyboard if we compare to the mouse.

Is it possible to do it in filemaker 7 ?

Thanks all

Hi elkkis,

There are plugins which will allow accessing the function keys. But you can also use the 10 shortcut keys built into Script Maker. If you move your scripts up so they are the first 10 (with checked 'include in menu'), then those 10 can be accessed with Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+0.

I use them frequently. smile.gif

There's already the Apple F (Mac) or Ctrl F (Windows) to enter Find mode built-in to FileMaker. Since F is for Find it's not that hard to remember and will be standard across all FileMaker databases you use. smile.gif
