opening the files again and again and again

Featured Replies

Two machines running os9. One is hosting 3 databases, the other is accessing these dbs. They were created on the second machine. In the creation process this never happened, but now when I open the dbs remotely one will open ("viewing as guest"), the relationships in it cause another to open (still fine), it happens again (still fine), and then when you click on either of the first two they open dbs 2 and 3 again. So what I have is multiple copies (usually it stops at two), of the same db open.

Problematic.

Any ideas on why this is?

Also on the same topic, why do they stop at two?

It sounds like you have more than one file with the same name on the network, a definite no-no.

That is just the ticket! Thanks so much.

And I guess that answers my second question, too. It is only opening two because there are only two, it isn't involved in some sort of looping scenario...
