How do I make and insert a drop down menu? Basically I want to have categories that you can choose from (ie: vendor, client, employee, etc etc)

Create a value list consisting of the items you want. Then format a field on a layout to use that value list in a menu by selecting the field in Layout mode, clicking the Format menu, and selecting Field Format.

Ok, I've tried that, and depending on which option I check, I either get nothing, or a box just listing the items and I can not select it....grrr...

And btw, Wakko was by far, the best Animaniac (well next to Pinky of corse...NARF!)
