I am trying to recall a specific data from a different file/layout/field. The closest I got was to make a script using Open[Database#1] from my database#2. But all it does is open that file, and not the actual field( I have to browse through the whole database to find what I want). Please, any comment or help would be greatly appreciated.

Ronnie, you should probably spend some time with the manual in the chapter on related files. It sounds like this is the direction you want to take.
