For Immediate Release:

Hometown Information TECHnologies (HITECH) of Rochester, NY announced today that it will unveil "keyboarding free" computing systems for both horse farm/stable management and thoroughbred race analysis during the upcoming trade show at the Saratoga Springs Sheraton on 7/30-8/2. The trade show is being held in conjunction with the "Cornell at Saratoga - Equine Health" seminar cosponsored by the Cornell Veterinary School and the NY Thoroughbred Breeders.

Said Dave Markant, owner of HITECH, "this is the 1st equine management system that's integrated with the MVT-12S Video Tablet which allows for pen-based input of information and data entered via handwriting recognition". HITECH will be demonstrating this technology with software products it has developed called the "Horseman's Electronic Workbench" and the "Racing Fans Electronic Playstation". Both products run solely using FilemakerPro, making it possible for them to be used on PCs under Windows 98/NT and Apple Macintoshes including iMacs. The handwriting recognition feature of the MV-12S makes it possible for data to be entered into FilemakerPro database fields by writing directly on the video tablet.

HITECH is a software development and computer systems integrator that specializes in several industries including the equine. Its web site for the equine industry can be found at http://members.aol.com/eqitec/eit.htm
