How Many Web Layouts in FMServer Advanced?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. Currently I have my complex solutions currently running on FMServer 5, and because this server does not support web publishing, I have some simple solutions running on FMPro 5.5 in Web Publishing mode, but it seems you are very limited in the number of layouts you can get FileMaker Pro to publish from a single file (two or three I believe).

Can anyone tell me how many layouts the FMServer Advanced will allow per file in web publishing mode? Is it suitable for running more complex solutions and capable of publishing 10 or more layouts in the solution? It would sure save some upgrading costs at the client end if I could serve more complex solutions via web-browser.

Thanks in advance.

Doug

Doug,

I have not heard that there was a restriction to the number of layouts that you can web publish. I attended a roadshow where a FMP tech had created a helpdesk application and web enabled it. It was pretty complex and it ran fine over instant web publishing. I am not sure if he had over 10 layouts or not but he had quite a few. I know that we are planning on web publishing a lot of our in house applications to cut down on client installs.
