Finding unchecked records...

Featured Replies

How do I perform a Find on a checkbox field? Say I have Completed Date field displayed in my layout as a checkbox. How can I search for everything unchecked?

I tried not checking the box but I get prompted with the "No Records Found" dialog.

Thanks...

Hi Crag,

You haven't said how you are getting your completed date info to display as a check, but presumably you have some process (eg a calc) which translates the date to a fixed value (or vice-versa)?

If that is the case, I suggest that you try performing the search with a check in the checkbox, but before processing the search, click on the option to 'Omit' which appears in the Status Area.

The 'Omit' option has the effect of reversing the find request, so that the group of records returned are those that did *not* meet the criteria entered. wink.gif
