lonesomejubilee Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 In MS Access when you got to the last field in the record and then pressed <tab> it would take you to the next (new) entry. In FM P it takes you to the beginning of the same record. How can you make <tab> take you to a a new record?
dbruggmann Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 If you work with FM7, there might be a chance. In FM7 you can change the "Field Behaviour" of your last field on the record to NOT go to the first field when you hit Tab (deselect the option). But then you're quite stuck: You can't trigger a script (to got to the next record) by field exiting in FM
ESpringer Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 Note, Vandy, that among portal fields, tab out of last field does cycle you along to the next existing row, or to a blank row where you can start typing to create a new record -- assuming "Allow creation of related record" is enabled. Sometimes, for quick data entry of many new records, I set up a portal for precisely that reason.
