Newbie Question - Print Area too Small

Featured Replies

Alright.. I have looked all over for this, maybe someone can help me. smile.gif

Basically I'm trying to print a layout thats 11 x 8 1/2, The problem is, Filemaker is cutting off all my content below about 5 inches on the page. I see the "print area" dotted lines (thats what I assume they are). It seems that Filemaker is cutting off the print at this line, yet the printer can handle another 3+ inches of page!!! I have checked my margins, page setup everything. Even Page Break in the Part Set up.. When I change the paper type, the Width of the print area will change to accommodate larger paper sizes but the bottom line stays at 5 inches! Driving me crazy.

System: OSX Panther

Printer: HP 8550DN & HP4000

Getting really frustrated here. smile.gif Please Help.

Thanks!

D

Printing can be tough to troubleshoot. Are the layout margins set to fixed or not?

You have Page Setup set at to print Letter paper in landscape mode at 100%?

Yeah, I actually finally figured it out... smile.gif Apparently, The footer was down so low that FM was splitting the page in half. (I have no idea why) but when I shrunk it up, it fixed the problem.

Thanks for your quick responses.

Appriciate it. Cheers!

That's funny, I had actually typed out a response to look at the size of the footer, but then I deleted it, because I was accused of insulting someone's intelligence yesterday and I didn't want another incident.

I'm glad you solved the problem.
