Is there a way I can show the path of a file in a field. OS WIN 98 FM5

Example: Insert photo (works just fine), how can I show the path to the photo in FileMaker

You cannot specifically show the path to the file via Filemaker directly. However by using either WinBatch or Troi's File plugin you can capture the path as text and then insert that text into a field in Filemaker.
