Hi,

Do you know if it is possible to run a script automatically when editing a field value (like in Access with the On Event propriety).

In a word, no.

At least in v6 and older, (i.e. 5.x), you either have to use a plugin or use one of the known workaround.

This subject comes up from time to time, so you should find plenty of reading material by doing a search for Exit Script, Exit Field, etc.
