Can't connect to Server 7 on Win 2003 server

I installed Server 7 and went into the administration with no problem. Since then I installed Server 7 on an XP client (as I see so far this is required for the new remote admin(?)) After going back to the server, I can't connect. I have the right IP but when I click Connect I get a long delay with no hour glass then nothing happens. I've closed everything on the client and tried rebooting the server.

I didn't find the cause, but I unistalled the full FM Server that I had installed on the client PC and reinstalled just the remote admin portion then rebooted. Since then everything has worked fine.

Before this problem, I had started FM Server on the client then stopped it (both processes). The FM Server running on the server machine may have seen that FM Server had run on another machine on the network causing it to not run.
