Fast copy of records between databases

Featured Replies

Has any one come across a fast method to copy a record between databases, without resorting to copying each field in the record individually, or exporting.

I am trying to keep a synchronised copy of the primary database, offsite and copying fields is very slooow, especially over dialup!

Many thanks

Maybe. If you mean copying a "record" between two databases, this can be done with an "Import" script step using one of the available replacement options. If you REALLY mean to copy only SOME of the data from a record in the first file to another record in the second file, a scripted, field by field operation is necessary.
