newbie can't file share!

I have a perfectly working database solution on my laptop (MAC OSX) and i'm trying to open it remotely from an other computer on the network. I have installed filemaker pro on the other computer and i'm using file maker developer on my own. I have turned on file sharing on both filemaker versions. When I go to the Open remote option, I can see the laptop in the hosts column but no files appear in the available column when I click on the name of the host.

Can anyone suggest what is happening here and how i can fix this??

Have you set the "Network Access to file" the default setting is "no users".

yes, for testing purposes I set it to all users, I just can't figure out what's going on?
