If I try to administer our server from outside the network using the FM Server Admin Console, it does not connect. Usually a long delay and no message. Occasionally a message "Could not connect to Server...". Have tried accessing it from different computers - same problem.

So I wondered if my firewall settings are OK.

I can open the database remotely from FMP7 computers outside our network so I know port 5003 is successfully open and allowing traffic for that.

I read in the documentation (see below) that ports 50003, 50006 and 25003 are also used by FM server, but I was not quite clear. Do some or all of them have to be open for remote admin?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm having the same problem accessing Server 7 on a Mac OSX machine, but I can't get in for remote admin OR as a user. So far I've only opened port 5003. As I recall from a couple years ago with 5.5 server, that was all that was required.

Did you find out what the problem was? confused.gif
